Job Responsibility:

  • Engage in a variety of advanced technical tasks integral to the efficient collection, recording, and balancing of county tax revenues
  • Support essential department functions, including receiving tax payments, posting transactions, and balancing revenues for taxing districts
  • Respond to public inquiries regarding taxation and assist in preparing tax notices
  • In the Chief Deputy Treasurer's absence, manage daily operations, oversee deputy treasurers, and review employee performance
  • Prepare financial reports, conduct audits, and maintain internal controls for county funds

Requirements:

  • Graduation from senior high school or equivalent with course background in bookkeeping, accounting or some other related field
  • plus, one (1) year of specialized training in computer operation and data entry
  • Three (3) years of experience performing above or related duties
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Highly proficient keyboard and 10-Key skills
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Experience
  • Must be able to pass drug/alcohol testing and a pre-employment background check
