Microsoft’s Windows & Device Sales (WDS) organization is responsible for partnering with the world’s largest device and technology companies to ensure that Microsoft’s software products and services are available on compelling hardware solutions world-wide. As a Senior Deals Manager, you will be part of a dynamic team in WDS that is responsible for Pricing, Strategic Deals, and Investments. We manage a large discretionary investments budget, we oversee an extensive strategic deals portfolio, and we lead investment strategy across a multi-billion-dollar incentive stack. Job Responsibility
Partner across stakeholders including Senior Leadership, Finance, Business Planning, Engineering Groups, Account Sales/Marketing, Legal, and Operations to build and land strategic deals
Build business case with supporting data to define goals and secure executive approvals
Build subject matter expertise on ecosystem dynamics, market opportunities/gaps and product and compete strategies globally
Own market research and analysis required to drive deal decisions
Drive an ongoing and evolving accountability discipline with sales teams
Identify new opportunities via product expansion and new geo coverage
Manage, evolve, and improve the ROI of Strategic Deals and lead performance management discipline, including metrics, monitoring, and reporting
Presenting deal performance and strategy to CVP leadership across Microsoft
Guide leadership decision-making with best-in-class analytics and cohesive rational
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Engineering, or related field AND 4+ years experience in business consulting, sales, sales operations, information technology (IT), account management, business development, marketing, IT field sales, or a related field OR equivalent experience
3+ years experience in Near Term Strategy (1-2 years out), Management Consulting, or Finance
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or related field AND 6+ years of marketing, strategy, sales, program management, project management, business planning, consulting, finance, economics, and/or partner organization experience OR equivalent experience
Experience in strategy consulting, finance, banking, technology, investment management, or other relevant experience
Experience with bargaining and negotiation is a plus
