Job Description

As a Senior Database Site Reliability Engineer, you will lead critical initiatives to ensure the reliability, performance, and evolution of our database landscape. You will play a key role in driving modernization, improving resilience, and guiding technical strategy across the database estate.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead the more complex technology transitions, performance problems, DR validation, health-check strategy and service improvements across the database estate
  • Own the technical direction for new and emerging DB technologies and for the controlled move away from DB2- dependent patterns
  • Provide senior-level guidance for production incidents, RCA, migration planning and cross-team design decisions

Requirements

  • 5-8 years' experience in a Database SRE role, with deep experience across multi-site environments and mixed technology stacks
  • Strong experience in data centre and cloud migrations, new-technology evaluation and production recoverability
  • Clear leadership and stakeholder management capability within a tower central to the EPO modernization roadmap
  • Fluency in English
