Job Description:

We’re working with a fast-growing digital platform that’s actively transforming the automotive world. Work with cutting-edge database technologies, help modernise systems, and empower teams to own their data solutions, all while making a real impact in a high-growth, innovative space. The business is looking for a Senior Database Engineer to join their lean, high-performing team. This is a backfill role with responsibility for delivering database improvements, modernising legacy systems, and driving adoption of automation and AI tools across the business.

Job Responsibility:

  • Deliver improvements and modernisation across core database systems
  • Architect, deploy, and maintain highly available, scalable database solutions in Azure and PostgreSQL
  • Lead migrations from legacy on-prem SQL systems to cloud-native platforms
  • Design database scaling strategies and operational workflows
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to ensure secure, reliable data delivery
  • Participate in CI/CD pipeline management and automation (Terraform, Azure DevOps)
  • Resolve complex incidents and implement preventative strategies
