Job Responsibility
DataBridge (UAL) Application: Expected to Develop/Modify/Test/Migrate Subscriptions using DataBridge (UAL) Application
SDLC: Contribute to full development life cycle, including requirements analysis, functional design, technical design, programming, testing, documentation, implementation, and on-going technical support
Analyze and Optimize SQL: Identify high-impact, suboptimal UAL Subscription SQL statements and PL/SQL code, generate and interpret execution plans, and rewrite queries to ensure optimal performance
Performance Monitoring: Proactively monitor database performance using tools such as Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), AWR (Automatic Workload Repository), and ASH (Active Session History) reports to diagnose and resolve bottlenecks
Implement Tuning Recommendations: Utilize the Oracle SQL Tuning Advisor and other utilities to implement corrective actions such as gathering statistics, creating new indexes, or generating SQL profiles
Database Design Collaboration: Work closely with application developers and data architects to ensure efficient database design, data modeling, and the use of appropriate indexing and partitioning strategies
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex, mission-critical performance problems in various environments (development, testing, production)
Documentation and Standards: Create and maintain technical documentation, including data standards, procedures, and definitions for the data dictionary, and ensure coding guidelines are followed
Capacity Planning: Assist in capacity planning and growth management to ensure the database environment can handle future workloads
Requirements
2-4 years of relevant Strong experience in SQL and new technologioes

Ability and willingness to learn newer tools and technologies in cloud-based data analytics/Artificial intelligence arena and successfully deliver projects utilizing the same
Performance Monitoring: Proactively monitor database performance using tools such as Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), AWR (Automatic Workload Repository), and ASH (Active Session History) reports to diagnose and resolve bottlenecks
5+ year of Industry experience working in Finance reporting applications/warehouses
Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of Oracle Database architecture, RDBMS concepts, memory usage, wait events, and the Cost-Based Optimizer (CBO)
SQL and PL/SQL Proficiency: Expert-level skills in writing, optimizing, and debugging complex SQL queries and PL/SQL code (procedures, functions, packages, triggers)
Tools Experience: Hands-on experience with performance monitoring and tuning tools, including SQL*Plus, SQL Developer, AWR/ASH reports, and the SQL Tuning Advisor
Strong knowledge of Oracle Database, SQL tuning, understanding of the Relational Data Modal
Operating Systems and Scripting: Proficiency in Linux/Unix environments and strong shell scripting skills are often required
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities to identify the root causes of performance degradation
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and non-technical stakeholders
Education/Experience: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, plus significant relevant work experience (typically 5+ years) in database performance analysis and SQL tuning
Certifications: Relevant Oracle certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional DBA) are often a plus
DevOps Tools knowledge/Experience: git/bitbucket , Jenkins, Lightspeed/RLM and service now
Prior experience with Citi tool – DataBridge (UAL) is a big PLUS
Prior working experience with Citi Financial system (Specially General Ledgers) is a Big PLUS
