A leading, forward-thinking Canadian insurance organization is embarking on an ambitious Digital Transformation initiative to modernize and build its next-generation data platform. We are seeking a collaborative, resourceful, and high-performing Senior Data Systems Analyst (DSA) to join our Information Technology Data Delivery Group. In this role, you will lead the data systems analysis team, helping to scale our data and analytics capabilities while acting as a vital liaison between various business units and technical data teams. You will apply your deep expertise to requirements, documentation, data analysis, and solution architecture, establishing a center of excellence for our data ecosystem artifacts. This is a unique opportunity to help shape the data mindset that enables direct-to-consumer business, advanced data science capabilities, and an expanded digital footprint.

Requirements

  • University degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience successfully leading Data Systems Analysis organizations with expertise in building large-scale enterprise data assets
  • 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst working on mid-to-large projects for data design, development, and implementation of business-critical enterprise data systems
  • Strong data analysis skills with a very strong SQL background
  • Deep background in ETL/Data engineering and outstanding knowledge/experience with the Informatica product suite
  • Solid grasp and experience with data technologies and environments (Snowflake, Hadoop, PostgreSQL, Data Warehouses, and Data Lakes/Lakehouses)
  • Experience establishing documentation standards frameworks for data quality, data governance, stewardship, and metadata management
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and leadership/influencing skills at the senior management level
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Insurance industry knowledge is considered a strong asset
  • Solid understanding of Project and Program Management processes
