Job Description:

Senior Data Scientist role in the Technology Enablement Office, playing a pivotal part in shaping data science strategy, fostering an internal community of practice, and ensuring quality and business relevance of AI solutions in predictive AI and Generative AI areas

Job Responsibility:

Community Building: Establish and nurture a strong internal data science community across METLEN sectors
Model Evaluation: Assess and validate AI/ML models developed internally or by external vendors
Technology Scouting: Stay updated on the latest AI and Gen-AI advancements and recommend innovative technologies
Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with business units, IT teams, and external stakeholders to translate complex data challenges into actionable insights
Governance & Best Practices: Contribute to data science standards, model governance frameworks, and responsible AI practices

Requirements:

5+ years of experience in data science with a strong focus on predictive modeling
Bachelor in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field
Master's or PhD degree is a plus
Proven expertise in designing, deploying, and evaluating machine learning models
Solid background in feature engineering, model selection, hyperparameter tuning, and performance evaluation
Strong programming skills in Python, R, or similar languages
Experience with ML frameworks and understanding of Gen-AI technologies
Hands-on experience with ML frameworks such as Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch

Nice to have:

Familiarity with MLOps practices, model monitoring, and lifecycle management
Experience in evaluating and integrating third-party AI solutions
