Senior Data Scientist

• Build and improve machine learning models and understanding their utility in variety of business needs
• Gather operational data from various cross functional stakeholders to examine past business performance
• Identify data patterns & trends, and provide insights to enhance business decision making capability in business planning, process improvement, solution assessment etc
• Recommend actions for future developments & strategic business opportunities, as well as enhancements to operational policies
• Translate data into consumer or customer behavioral insights to drive targeting and segmentation strategies, and effectively communicate all findings to business partners and senior leaders
• Continuously improve processes and strategies by exploring and evaluating new data sources, tools, and capabilities
• Work closely with internal and external business partners in building, implementing, tracking and improving decision strategies
• Assume informal leadership role as project owner, mentor and business point of contact
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup

• 5 years of experience in data science or related fields
• Solid programming skills in Python for data science with knowledge of relevant libraries e.g., Pandas, Scikit-learn, Matplotlib, Xgboost
• Proficiency in SQL/SAS and experience with relational databases
• Experience in development of machine learning and statistical models with focus of stability and interpretability
• Experience in implementing, documenting and monitoring machine learning models
• Understanding of statistical principles, ability to apply statistical approaches to business challenges
• Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience
• Proficency in English

Experience in retail banking business analysis and knowledge of banking products/processes would be an asset
