Job Description:

We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist who combines strong hands-on expertise with the ability to lead and scale analytics solutions in a complex, multi-market environment. In this role, you will take ownership of delivering advanced analytics solutions, generating actionable insights and driving tangible business impact, with a strong focus in the route-to-market and commercial effectiveness areas. You will work closely with business stakeholders, translating ambiguous problems into scalable data products deployed across 29 markets. Beyond individual contribution, you will play a key role in shaping our data science practices and, over time, lead and mentor a small team of data scientists, ensuring high standards in both technical delivery and business impact. This is a high-impact role suited for someone who can independently drive complex problems end-to-end and balance deep technical execution with evolving leadership responsibilities.

Job Responsibility:

  • Collaborate extensively with business stakeholders to deeply understand challenges and identify opportunities
  • Own the end-to-end delivery of advanced analytics and machine learning solutions, from problem framing to production deployment and continuous improvement, working within Agile/SAFe ways of working
  • Develop and implement machine learning and statistical models to extract insights, predict trends, and provide actionable recommendations
  • Analyze large and complex datasets to identify opportunities to enhance existing solutions and develop new ones
  • Lead the development of proof-of-concept solutions and ensure their scalability across multiple markets
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers and business experts, to ensure robust, scalable, and production-ready solutions
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve existing solutions and propose new data-driven initiatives that deliver measurable business value
  • Contribute to building and scaling a high-performing data science team, acting as a technical reference point, driving best practices, and supporting the development of other data scientists

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in data science or advanced analytics roles, with a strong track record of delivering production-grade solutions
  • Strong proficiency in Python and PySpark, with the ability robust, well-structured, and efficient code that balances readability and performance
  • Solid understanding of machine learning, statistical modeling, and experimentation, with the ability to apply the right approach to real-world business problems
  • Experience working with large-scale datasets and distributed data processing, as well as cloud-based data platforms (preferably Azure & Databricks)
  • Proven experience in owning projects end-to-end, from business understanding to deployment and impact measurement
  • Demonstrated ability to build scalable solutions that go beyond one-off analyses or prototypes
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify opportunities to enhance existing solutions and propose new data-driven strategies
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and collaborate effectively with other team members and external vendors
  • Ability to balance hands-on technical work with leadership responsibilities, with experience in leading and guiding other data scientists
  • Excellent collaboration, communication and presentation skills, with the ability effectively interact and influence stakeholders, translating technical concepts into analytical approaches and business impact
  • Experience in CPG, retail, or commercial analytics (e.g. route-to-market, assortment) is a strong advantage
  • BSc or MSc, in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering or a related quantitative field
