Job Description:

As a Senior Data Scientist on our Team, you will partner closely with key business leads, focusing on some of the most exciting challenges Atlassian faces.

Job Responsibility:

  • Work with a strong group of data scientists to advance core data artifacts
  • develop strong collaborative partnerships with business and operations leaders
  • provide technical expertise in data visualization, deep business acumen, stakeholder engagement and operational insights via analysis
  • work with a cross functional team to drive improvement and efficiency
  • use compelling data, deep business acumen and exceptional communication to drive business strategy and execution
  • address business challenges, performance bottlenecks and growth opportunities with analytic solutions
  • propose rapid experiments or A/B tests to assess the effect of new strategies or initiatives
  • play the role of analytic visualization expert in cross functional teams

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience working with data
  • BS degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science or other quantitative field
  • experience in building business impacting analytic solutions
  • experience using data to influence operational teams
  • track record of successfully driving analytic initiatives
  • ability to bridge the gap between business problem and data
  • strong communication skills (non-technical) and core tech skills
