Job Description:

As a Senior Data Scientist on Bitcoin, you will use data to accelerate our mission of making bitcoin everyday money across Cash App and Square. You'll work on critical initiatives such as stablecoin infrastructure, Lightning Network adoption, and Bitcoin payment rails innovation.

Job Responsibility:

  • Shape product strategy for bitcoin adoption through experimentation, modeling, and analytics
  • Design and analyze experiments that unlock growth in bitcoin usage
  • Build data foundations and self-service tools that enable product teams to move faster
  • Partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Design to translate complex bitcoin/crypto user behaviors into actionable insights and product decisions

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of data science experience
  • Track record of driving product and business impact in consumer-facing products
  • Strong experimentation skills: designed, executed, and analyzed A/B tests
  • Comfort with causal inference techniques
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to translate complex analyses into clear recommendations
  • Solid data engineering fundamentals: build pipelines, transform data, create reliable data products
  • Demonstrated use of LLMs and AI tools to accelerate work
  • Bonus: Experience with bitcoin, crypto products, or blockchain analytics
  • Bonus: Familiarity with Lightning Network, stablecoins, or payment systems
