Job Description:

Build analytic solutions that drive impact across Pomelo's business and demonstrate value to our stakeholders. Play a leading role in leveraging data to inform critical business decisions. Generate data and insights for both internal teams and external stakeholders that impact both our business decisions and the care that we deliver to patients.

Job Responsibility:

  • Become an expert in the data that Pomelo has about our patient care and clinical outcomes, and play a foundational role in building the data culture of Pomelo
  • Build recurring and custom reports and dashboards to quantify key metrics around care delivery, operational performance, and patient outcomes
  • Partner closely with various teams (such as Customer Success, Operations, Market Operations, and Finance) on scoping requests and translating stakeholder needs into technical requirements
  • Identify opportunities to reduce manual time spent on reporting, and implement solutions using the appropriate technical tools
  • Think creatively about how to use data to tell our value story, improve patient care, and inform strategic decisions
  • define appropriate metrics and create visualizations

Requirements:

  • 4+ years professional experience in data analytics, data science, data engineering, or statistical analysis involving SQL
  • Passionate about improving maternal health outcomes
  • An autonomous individual contributor capable of prioritizing work across various workstreams
  • Experienced scoping and implementing data-driven solutions to ambiguous problems, prioritizing efficacy over complexity
  • Excited to work cross-functionally across technical and non-technical stakeholders, including folks who do not share your technical expertise
  • A strong communicator and a keen nose for value - someone who can easily and quickly understand the needs of different audiences

Nice to have:

  • Experience working with healthcare data
  • Proficient in at least one programming language (e.g., Python)
  • Experience presenting analyses to senior business audiences
  • Experience with data dashboarding or visualization (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Metabase)
  • Experience working with dbt
  • Experience in a customer-facing role
