Sitting at the intersection of business and engineering, Data Scientists work in several different capacities to improve the overall decision making capabilities at the company and connect people to the best and most relevant experiences.

Job Responsibility:

  • You will work closely with our stakeholders in marketing, product, and engineering to devise data-driven solutions to optimise our marketing efforts
  • You will develop and maintain attribution and marketing mix models to accurately quantify the impact of various marketing channels
  • You will devise models to drive campaign targeting and budget allocation to optimise the return of investment and efficiency of marketing campaigns
  • You will design, execute, and analyze marketing optimisation experiments, leveraging statistics, econometric models, and causal inference techniques to determine the true impact of specific marketing interventions.

Requirements:

  • You have solid math, statistics and Machine Learning fundamentals (typically MSc or PhD level)
  • You have a strong understanding of statistical analysis and modeling including regression, clustering, and time series analysis and forecasting
  • You have prior experience working in Web analytics and marketing optimisation problems such as Attribution, Marketing Mix, and funnel optimisation
  • You are a master of common data and ML tools (e.g. SQL, Pandas, Numpy, …)
  • You can work effectively with data engineers, analysts, software engineers, etc
  • You can turn your ideas into reality
  • You have a scientific mindset, a problem-first attitude and are highly self-critical
  • You can translate complex problems into mathematical formulations
  • You have an entrepreneurial spirit, get stuff done and thrive in a fast paced environment
  • You are comfortable with software engineering best practices and write robust, reproducible and maintainable code
  • You have excellent communication skills and are proficient in business English

Nice to have:

  • Have significant expertise in technical areas such as Bayesian modeling, econometric models, causal inference, dynamic pricing
  • Have relevant work experience in internet tech companies
  • Identify yourself as both a scientist and a hacker
  • Have experience with current ML and scientific computing frameworks such as Pytorch, JAX, etc.
