Data Science plays a central role in how Deliveroo balances growth, profitability and customer trust across a complex three-sided marketplace. We’re looking for a Senior Data Science Manager to lead Deliveroo’s end-to-end pricing and value strategy across multiple growth teams. This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for both people and strategy, shaping how pricing, promotions and loyalty decisions are made at scale.
Job Responsibility:
Lead pricing elasticity analysis, fee structures and long-term pricing strategy, balancing revenue growth with retention and customer perception
Shape the value proposition of offerings such as Plus (our subscriber offering), aligning pricing, benefits and incentives to customer expectations
Provide leadership across Pricing, Promotions and Loyalty teams, ensuring consistent experimentation standards and aligned growth strategy
Set the bar for rigorous experimentation and causal inference, enabling confident trade-offs between growth and profitability
Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing and Commercial leaders to influence roadmaps and pricing related product decisions
Oversee day to day optimisation across teams to hit growth targets without eroding long term value
Lead, develop and support senior individual contributors and managers, owning succession, team design and long term capability building
Manage roughly 8 to 12 ICs across multiple teams, including direct management of a Data Science Manager
Requirements:
Proven experience leading data science teams in B2C growth environments, ideally within pricing, value or monetisation domains
Experience managing managers, with a track record of building strong leadership layers and scaling impact through others
Deep hands-on background in experimentation, causal inference and decision making under real world constraints
Ability to own complex, cross team strategy and influence senior stakeholders across Product, Engineering and Commercial functions
Strong judgement in ambiguous environments, with comfort making trade-offs where data is noisy and incentives can conflict
