Job Description

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Data Profiling Analyst to support enterprise analytics and data management initiatives. This role will be responsible for gathering business requirements, profiling and analyzing complex datasets, identifying data quality issues, documenting data lineage, and collaborating with stakeholders to support data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will have strong SQL expertise, experience working with large and complex data environments, and the ability to translate technical findings into meaningful business insights for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Job Responsibility

  • Gather and analyze business requirements and translate complex data acquisition and operational requirements into actionable data profiling and analytics solutions
  • Perform data discovery, profiling, validation, and quality assessments across multiple enterprise data sources
  • Utilize SQL to extract, manipulate, enrich, and analyze large datasets to support business and analytics initiatives
  • Collaborate with business users, performance analysts, data engineers, and IT leadership to identify and document data relationships, dependencies, and lineage
  • Analyze data quality issues and recommend corrective actions to improve data accuracy, consistency, and reliability
  • Document data definitions, business rules, metadata, and data lineage artifacts to support enterprise data governance initiatives
  • Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure data requirements are clearly understood and implemented
  • Explain technical findings, data limitations, and analysis results in clear, concise language for non-technical audiences and executive leadership
  • Support analytics development efforts by validating data sources and ensuring data readiness for reporting and business intelligence solutions
  • Participate in data governance activities and contribute to the development of data quality standards and best practices

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in Data Analysis, Business Analysis, Systems Analysis, Data Governance, or Data Liaison roles
  • 8+ years of experience gathering business requirements and translating complex data needs into actionable analytical solutions
  • 8+ years of experience working with complex enterprise datasets and analytics projects
  • Strong SQL expertise for data extraction, transformation, profiling, analysis, and validation
  • Experience performing data profiling, data discovery, and data quality assessments
  • Experience documenting and validating business data lineage and data relationships
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present technical information to business users and executive stakeholders
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders across business and technology organizations

  • Experience with Business Intelligence (BI) and Data Warehouse environments
