As a Senior Data & Product Analyst for Size & Fit, you will play a key role in addressing the challenge of finding the right fit in online shopping. Size and Fit works towards solving the customer problem of not being able to find the right fit in online shopping. Our mission involves gaining a deep understanding of customers’ preferences related to size and fit, as well as a comprehensive knowledge of product attributes and influencing assortment buying decisions with sizing insights. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Size and Fit team, which includes members from Product Management, Analytics, Applied Science, and Engineering. You will act as a bridge to the commercial team. You will measure and analyze how the solutions we provide to our customers are impacting our business and your insights will enable strategic commercial decisions at Zalando.
Job Responsibility:
Bring a data-driven approach to the Size & Fit Team by generating hypotheses and testing them through descriptive, exploratory, and quantitative analyses
Translate complex metrics from algorithmic and data products into actionable business insights
Act as the vital connector between Customers, Product, Applied Science, and the broader Business
Translate Size & Fit benefits into answers for complex customer behavior questions and identify high-value commercial opportunities
Design, create, and drive A/B tests end-to-end
Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, Applied Science and Operations teams
Incorporate diverse data sources from inside and outside the ecosystem
Serve as a reliable partner for monitoring, enabling counterparts with reliable data sources and reporting
Support the team with complex deep dives while strengthening analytics infrastructure
Requirements:
Proven track record of 5+ years in analytics, ideally within e-commerce or product development environments
University degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Quantitative Social Science, or a related field
Advanced SQL skills and a strong programming background (Python, Spark, or Databricks)
Expert in coding for data retrieval and exploration
Comfortable with ETL pipelines
Communication prowess to convince both technical and non-technical audiences
Advanced statistical skills, specifically in causal inference and A/B testing (from setup to execution)
Understanding of the economics of online platforms and fashion retail, including the commercial KPIs
Hands-on mentality and adapt quickly to change
