FinXL IT is seeking a Senior Data Integration Engineer (Level 5) to join our team at a leading financial services organisation. This is a high-visibility role designed for a technical heavyweight who excels at the intersection of streaming architecture and enterprise integration. As a "technical linchpin," you will be responsible for moving beyond traditional batch processing to design and implement sophisticated, event-driven data architectures for systems of record.

Job Responsibility

  • Real-Time Architecture: Design and deploy advanced event-driven integration patterns to enable near-instantaneous data responses across global P&C platforms
  • Streaming Mastery: Act as the SME for Confluent Kafka, managing complex message schemas and ensuring robust, seamless stream processing
  • Strategic Leadership: Author technical options papers for the Architecture Board and articulate complex technical benefits to senior non-technical sponsors
  • Technical Governance: Lead deep-dive code reviews and mentor junior engineers, ensuring the highest standards of engineering excellence
  • Documentation: Maintain world-class technical documentation and architectural diagrams within Confluence to drive transparency and knowledge sharing

Requirements
