Job Responsibility

  • Facilitating day to day activities to support the strategic evolution and/or adoption of Master and Reference Data in coordination with the Data Governance team
  • Support the creation, maintenance and adoption of a unified and consistently defined fit-for-purpose enterprise-wide Master and Reference Data domains
  • Transforming complex banking data into clear, actionable insights through compelling Tableau dashboards for senior stakeholders
  • Design, development, and maintain high-impact data visualizations, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery

  • Adopt and implement best practices in data visualisation and reporting

Requirements

  • Tableau Expertise (intermediate / advanced): Proven strong proficiency in designing, developing, and deploying complex, interactive Tableau dashboards, and reports. Must be currently working with Tableau in a professional environment and have many years of relevant and hands-on experience with Tableau Server
  • Data Visualization: Demonstrably strong data visualization skills with a deep understanding of principles, UX/UI best practices for dashboards, and the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively
  • SQL (intermediate / advanced): Highly proficient in SQL for querying large and complex relational databases, data manipulation, and performance tuning. Strong SQL skills are a must. Experience with various database systems, in particular Oracle and SQL Server
  • Data Modelling & Database Skills: Demonstrably strong data modelling skills/experience (e.g., star schema, snowflake schema) and solid understanding of database design and management
  • ETL Skills: Strong ETL skills using various industry technologies for data extraction, transformation, and loading
  • Data Analyst & Process Engineering: Demonstrated Data Analyst and process engineering skillset
  • Data Sources & Connectivity: Experience connecting Tableau to diverse data sources, including traditional databases, cloud data platforms, and APIs
  • Performance Tuning: Ability to identify and resolve performance issues in Tableau dashboards and underlying data queries
  • Scripting/Programming (Desirable): Experience with Python or R for data manipulation, statistical analysis, or integration with BI tools is a plus
  • Version Control: Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) for managing ETL and data assets
  • Effective collaborator: By being able to build relationship and partnerships with others to meet shared objectives as well as communicating effectively and in a way that conveys a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences
  • Project management: A strong understanding of various project management methodologies and tools, the ability to monitor tight deadlines and / or unexpected requirement changes, and proficiency in the use of basic Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
