Job Description:

The Senior Cloud and Data Engineering Lead is responsible for the overall success of the strategic program and underlying projects. This person must have adequate knowledge and information about the business and technology to be able to make informed decisions and ensure that a collaborative approach to working is adopted and have previous experience of technology-specific Porfilio Management. This role is expected to work in close partnership with other IT Leads and Managers, Product and Operations counterparts in ensuring coherent and complete project delivery for our Securities Services clients and may require direct interaction with those clients.

Job Responsibility:

Establish and lead an elite engineering unit
Develop Cloud Data strategy, Data pipelines and ingestion frameworks
Create technology solutions and work in partnership with internal IT teams and with Cloud providers
Manage multiple teams of professionals
Provide strategic influence and exercise control over resources, budget management and planning
Ensure essential procedures are followed and contribute to defining standards
Influence and negotiate with senior leaders across functions
Foster a culture of innovation and engineering excellence
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made

Requirements:

Experience in applications development
Experience in management
Experience managing global technology teams
Working knowledge of industry practices and standards
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
Deep expertise as a hands-on technical leader working on complex systems in a large organization
Deep engineering expertise building scalable Data products
Experience driving software delivery transformation through Agile practice and process
Expertise in Cloud platforms and associated Developer Toolchains, DevOps models, and best practice
Exceptional communicator
Highly credible hands-on engineer
Well-developed technical written communication skills

Nice to have:

Master’s degree preferred
