Job Description:

We’re looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join the Marketing Data Engineering team at KAYAK. The role focuses on creating high-performance data pipelines, working with Python, SQL, and modern tools such as Airflow. The position requires commuting to the Berlin office 3 times per week and offers a range of benefits and growth opportunities.

Job Responsibility:

design, build, and maintain high-performance data pipelines and orchestration workflows
write clean, modular Python code to transform, parse, clean, and enrich large datasets
support partners by developing dashboards and visualizations
partner closely with marketing analysts, engineers, and data scientists to define and deliver data needs
actively participate in agile ceremonies, code reviews, and planning discussions
experiment with and use AI coding tools to boost productivity and code quality

Requirements:

6+ years of professional experience in data engineering
proficient in SQL and Python with ability to write scalable, maintainable code
experience with AI coding tools
understanding of modern data architecture
experience building and operating Airflow pipelines or similar
ability to estimate project scope, manage timelines, and deliver reliably
