Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer with strong expertise in Microsoft Azure, SQL development, and ETL pipelines to join our growing data team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data solutions that enable analytics, reporting, and business intelligence across the organization. This is a hands-on role requiring a deep understanding of cloud data architecture, data modeling, and pipeline automation.

Job Responsibility:

Design, build, and optimize robust data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows using Azure Data Factory, Data Lake, and other Azure-native tools
Develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and performance-tuned data solutions for large-scale datasets
Implement data integration solutions to support real-time and batch processing needs
Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, and stakeholders to ensure data is accessible, accurate, and reliable
Build and maintain data models and data marts to support enterprise analytics
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize performance of data infrastructure and pipelines
Ensure data governance, security, and compliance standards are met
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to data engineering best practices

Requirements:

5+ years of experience in data engineering or a related field
Expertise in SQL Server, T-SQL development, and performance tuning
Hands-on experience with Azure Data Services (Data Factory, Data Lake, Synapse, Blob Storage)
Strong background in ETL development, data integration, and workflow orchestration
Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Git, and CI/CD for data workflows
Experience with data modeling, warehousing (e.g., Kimball), and data quality frameworks
Knowledge of scripting or programming (e.g., Python, PowerShell) is a plus
Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Nice to have:

Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, or other visualization tools
Background in industries such as finance, healthcare, or e-commerce
Azure certifications (e.g., DP-203)
