Job Description:

I have a brand new day rate contracting opportunity with a client of mine based in Dublin. This role is a hybrid position, with a contract duration of 12 months.

Job Responsibility:

  • Build and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures with Snowflake, Hadoop, Spark, NiFi
  • Optimise ETL workflows, transformations, and data quality checks
  • Collaborate in agile teams with Product, Data Science, and Engineering
  • Support production systems, troubleshoot issues, and ensure reliability
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical standards

Requirements:

  • Strong background in data engineering with 8+ years enterprise experience
  • Expertise in Snowflake (performance tuning, security, data sharing)
  • Advanced SQL and experience with relational & NoSQL databases
  • Proficiency in Python or other OOP/functional languages
  • Experience with Databricks, Kafka, stream processing, message queuing, distributed data processing
  • Familiarity with cloud data platforms, CI/CD, version control, testing
  • Ability to work with unstructured datasets and extract insights
