This is an exciting opportunity to join the internal Data and Analytics team within the Group Systems corporate IT function. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will lead the design and build of our business-critical Data and Analytics systems, helping us unlock predictive insights for strategic decision-making.
Job Responsibility:
Lead small technical project teams to deliver solutions aligned with the business requirements
Develop and deliver business change, alongside internal comms and handover to teams to ensure successful adoption
Engage with senior stakeholders to understand high-level business goals and transform these into detailed functional and non-functional requirements
Provide support and expertise to Identify and fix live issues
Requirements:
Holds or eligible for UK Security Clearance (L2 – SC)
Data Engineering & Fabric Development - Design and implement ETL/ELT data pipelines
SQL Server – Develop, optimize and manage complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions
Tabular model development / DAX – create Power BI semantic models / Analysis Services including row-level security (RLS) and object-level security (OLS)
Proven history of delivery and support of key financial and operational/management analytics

Building forecasting and predictive analytics - Azure Machine Learning
Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate, Azure Data Engineer Associate, Power BI Data Analyst Associate, SQL Server Database Administrator/Developer
