Job Description:

The Senior Data Engineer at NTT DATA will enhance the Enterprise Data Platform by leveraging expertise in data modeling and ETL solutions. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and strong leadership skills. Candidates should have extensive experience in data warehousing, cloud technologies, and a commitment to quality and service.

Job Responsibility:

  • Build and support enhance all parts of the Enterprise Data Platform
  • Work closely with the rest of the delivery team which comprises of Business Analysts, Testers, Delivery Managers and the business stakeholders
  • Work closely with the existing team to successfully deliver the requirements set out in the portfolio roadmap

Requirements:

  • Expert knowledge of data modelling and understanding of different data structures and their benefits and limitations under particular use cases
  • Experience of working with partners and business stakeholders
  • Technical experience of Databricks and Microsoft data warehouse developer (SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS)
  • Capable of solving complex data problems
  • Must be able to work both independently and as a member of a team to deliver enterprise class data warehouse solutions
  • Skilled, motivated and analytical individual with a strong leadership skills (Good communication, Integrity and accountability, relationship building, good decision making and critical thinking) background in data warehousing
  • Development background with exposure to Data Warehousing at scale on both cloud and on-premise
  • Experience developing ETL solutions in Databricks including Python and SQL as well as SQL Server including SSIS & T-SQL
  • Exposure to DW development practices (code & configuration management, build processes)
  • Strong understanding of enterprise level data warehouse architectures, data modelling concepts, and ETL/ELT best practices
  • Ability to take business requirements and work with other team members to estimate and design end-to-end solutions
  • Experience working in Agile delivery models with CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments across data platforms
  • Intellect and gravitas to influence and gain credibility with stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Creative, proactive, logical and innovative – you do not accept the status quo
  • Highly results driven, with the energy and determination to succeed in a fast paced environment

  • Exposure to BI reporting toolsets – ideally Power BI
  • Demonstrable experience in mentoring or supporting the development of junior team members
  • Capability to architect highly scalable distributed systems, using different tools
