Job Description:

We are looking for a motivated and skilled Senior Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. In this hybrid role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive the strategic use of data and contribute to business intelligence, data analytics, and system integration efforts. As a Senior Data Analyst, you will lead the development of data pipelines and oversee the design and integration of data models. You will stay informed on emerging technologies and best practices in data engineering while mentoring and providing technical guidance to team members. You will also play a key role in the adoption and implementation of new technologies to enhance our data strategy and roadmap, ensuring efficient, reliable, and accurate data delivery to stakeholders.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead development efforts within our existing data stack, including Snowflake, DBT, Astronomer (Airflow), and AWS serverless architecture
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to data engineers, developers, and analysts
  • Oversee the design and development of data pipelines to ingest data from various sources, transforming raw data into clean, scalable models that support business intelligence and analytics
  • Lead the evaluation and implementation of a data orchestration tool (e.g., Astronomer Airflow, Dagster) to effectively coordinate and monitor data pipelines and downstream dependencies
  • Establish and monitor data quality processes to ensure accurate, reliable, and timely data delivery to users
  • Implement processes to continuously monitor and evaluate the cost and performance of infrastructure and tools within our data platform

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in data engineering or a related field
  • Expertise in using DBT with modern data warehouse technologies (experience with Snowflake preferred)
  • Strong programming skills in Python (or similar languages) to manipulate and analyze large datasets
  • Proficiency in SQL and data modeling techniques
  • Deep understanding of how data and technology align with and support strategic business objectives
  • Eagerness to learn new technologies and take on challenges

Nice to have:

  • Experience with AWS technologies, including Lambda, API Gateway, and EventBridge
  • Proficiency with data streaming technologies such as Kafka
  • Experience working with data in retail, e-commerce, marketing, or related industries
