Everlaw is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Senior Data Engineer with experience in financial and revenue reporting to join our Enterprise Technology team. The Enterprise Technology team at Everlaw is an internal, cross-functional team that owns our core business systems and data infrastructure. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable data solutions, enabling the finance team to make data-driven decisions. You will leverage your experience with PostgreSQL, Fivetran, dbt (data build tool), Looker, and other modern data tools to build and optimize our data infrastructure and reporting processes.
Job Responsibility:
Design and implement robust data models to support financial and revenue reporting
Build and maintain ETL pipelines to ensure timely and accurate data delivery
Ensure data integrity and security in alignment with organizational and compliance standards
Develop and maintain dashboards and reports in Looker to track key financial and revenue metrics
Collaborate with finance teams to understand reporting requirements and provide actionable insights
Work closely with finance stakeholders, and other cross-functional teams to ensure data consistency and accuracy
Implement data validation and testing processes to ensure accuracy and consistency
Monitor data workflows and troubleshoot issues proactively
Requirements:
8+ years of experience as a BI Engineer, Data Engineer, or in a similar role
Proven expertise in PostgreSQL, including writing and optimizing complex SQL queries
Hands-on experience with ETL tools like Fivetran
Proficiency with dbt for data transformation and modeling
Proficiency with Looker for building and maintaining dashboards and reports
Experience in financial and revenue reporting is a must
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
Nice to have:
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure)
Knowledge of Python or other programming languages
