Ruby Labs is hiring an experienced Data Analyst to join our fast-paced and rapidly growing team. In this role, you will be working across multiple domains including marketing, billing, and product analytics to create new reports and improve current reports, and working to ensure that we have safe, well-modeled data to make decisions. Work with a variety of clients building their future data environment, and play a critical role in leveraging data to drive informed decision-making.
Job Responsibility:
Partner with Product Owners and Data Teams across marketing, billing, and product domains
Create new dashboards, maintain and improve existing reports such as Product Reports
User behaviour analysis, aha moment analysis
Analyse data to generate actionable insights, find trends, patterns and provide recommendations to maximize KPIs
Design and conduct A/B tests and homogeneity tests to validate hypotheses and measure impact
Lead billing experiments and analyze payment metrics to optimize conversion and reduce friction
Conduct VAMP (Visa Acquirer Monitoring Program) analysis and implement measures to lower VAMP rates through billing tests and other optimization techniques
Monitor metrics across all domains
Designing and building robust data models in SQL
Provide guidance to junior data analysts
Give and receive actionable feedback to and from peers and the Leadership Team
Requirements:
Degree in an analytical field such as Math, Data Science or Economics
At least 3+ years of work experience as a Data Analyst
Advanced SQL
Experience with Mixpanel, GA4, Amplitude or similar
Experience with popular BI tools such as Tableau, Looker, or similar
Proven experience designing and conducting A/B tests and statistical hypothesis testing
Experience in Product Analytics
Experience in subscription business
Excellent verbal communication
Ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions that align with the organization's goals
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends, patterns, and insights in large datasets
Ability to adapt quickly, learn new tools and methods efficiently, and work effectively in a high-pressure, fast-changing environment
Nice to have:
Strong spoken and written English
Experience working across all three domains: marketing analytics, billing/payments analytics, and product analytics
Experience mentoring or leading junior analysts
Experience with Python, R for statistical analysis
Experience with GCP, BigQuery
Experience with Google Ads, Facebook Ads etc
Experience with orchestration frameworks such as Airflow, dbt
