Job Description:

We’re partnering with a growing organization seeking a Senior Data Analyst to serve as the internal NetSuite subject matter expert and lead financial reporting and analytics initiatives. This role sits at the intersection of Finance and Data, working closely with a collaborative finance team to elevate reporting, system optimization, and executive-level financial visibility. The ideal candidate will take ownership of NetSuite reporting architecture and build scalable dashboards in Microsoft Power BI that drive informed decision-making across the organization.

Job Responsibility:

  • Serve as the internal NetSuite SME (Saved Searches, Suite Analytics Connect, system architecture)
  • Optimize reporting accuracy and improve overall system usage
  • Strengthen data governance and financial visibility
  • Support ongoing system enhancements and continuous improvement
  • Build and scale Power BI dashboards connected directly to NetSuite (ODBC/API or data warehouse)
  • Develop advanced DAX measures and complex KPI calculations
  • Automate refreshes and manage workspace security
  • Create intuitive, drill-down dashboards for Finance and Operations
  • Write complex SQL queries to unify disparate datasets
  • Deliver variance analysis and forecasting insights
  • Move reporting beyond descriptive analytics toward predictive insights
  • Partner closely with Finance and department leaders
  • Standardize data inputs for cleaner, more reliable reporting
  • Present actionable insights and recommendations to executive leadership

Requirements:

  • Deep NetSuite expertise (architecture, transactions vs. items vs. entities)
  • Advanced Power BI experience (DAX, Power Query/M, automation)
  • Strong SQL skills (complex joins, financial datasets)
  • Solid financial literacy (P& L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
  • High accountability and ownership mindset
  • Strong communicator across technical and finance teams
  • Systems thinker who improves processes—not just reports on them
