Team Overview: Enterprise Data Office (EDO) Regulatory and Analytics. The Regulatory and Analytics (R&A) team within the EDO plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and compliance of regulatory reports and in leveraging data analytics to drive business insights. The R&A team collaborates across various business and technology units to implement robust data quality management policies and procedures, and to provide subject matter expertise on wholesale lending data capture workflows, business execution, and regulatory reporting requirements. Role: Associate Vice President, Regulatory and Analytics – Regulatory Data Analytics. We are seeking a highly motivated Associate Vice President to join our Regulatory and Analytics team. This role will contribute to the creation and implementation of analytical regulatory reporting capabilities across wholesale lending regulatory reporting. The insights developed will be integrated into EDO R&A production cycles and reporting packages for Finance, EDO, Underwriting, and Business units. In addition, this role will assist in the development & implementation of best-in-class wholesale lending data management, capture, and workflow design requirements.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead creation of analytics & reporting to provide macro/portfolio level views for regulatory reports supported by EDO Regulatory and Analytics (SNC, Y14Q, 2052A, Y9C, etc)
  • Lead analytics on supported regulatory reports to produce macro and portfolio level regulatory insights
  • Collaborate with end users ensure meaningful insights are designed and ready to be executed upon/actionable
  • Communicate results and findings to stakeholders
  • Contribute to the implementation of analytical insights into regulatory reporting production routines
  • Leverage AI to accelerate pattern identification and analytical insights, where appropriate
  • Work with technical teams to ensure a successful deployment, including testing
  • Using analytics, contribute to the development and implementation of best-in-class Data Quality management policies, procedures, and capabilities
  • Work closely with business leaders, the Data Quality organization, Data Owners, Technology Owners, and Enterprise Data Office personnel teams to ensure data quality standards are met
  • Participate in the continuous improvement, monitoring, control, and governance of Data Quality
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to streamline processes and improve efficiency in regulatory reporting
  • Contribute to programs aimed at enhancing data quality across the organization
  • Provide support and reporting/analytics for redesigning wholesale lending contractual data capture
  • Contribute to development of dashboards effectively track redesign progress and portfolio coverage
  • Proactively identify trends, coverage shortcoming, and outliers to aide in redesign prioritization
  • Continuously research and evaluate industry best practices, emerging technologies, and innovative approaches in data analytics, intelligent automation, and process reengineering
  • Propose and pilot new tools and methodologies to support advanced process optimization efforts

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, statistics, mathematics, business administration, data science, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in the financial services industry
  • Preference for experience in wholesale lending, regulatory reporting, commercial/corporate banking, or finance functions supporting these areas
  • Strong proficiency in advanced data analysis, statistical methods, and data visualization, including SQL
  • Proven experience with business intelligence platforms like Tableau or Power BI
  • Demonstrated ability to summarize analytics or reporting into actionable intelligence
  • Intellectually curious and self-motivated
  • Ability to do exploratory analytics that are not fully developed and require in depth research
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders

Nice to have:

  • 7+ years of experience in analytics and/or reporting within the financial services industry
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as FR-Y14, Shared National Credit, and 2052a and their reporting requirements within a large banking institution
  • Intermediate to advance domain knowledge in wholesale lending products and processes
  • Advanced knowledge and/or experience in reporting and analytics supporting commercial/corporate banking or wholesale lending
  • Certifications in analytics or data management
  • Familiarity or hands on experience using current AI technologies and applying them in the financial industry
