The Aurora Data Solutions team generates insights to improve the Aurora Driver. We seek an exceptional Data Analyst to automate monitoring and analysis of the Aurora Driver’s on-road performance and operational efficiency. This role leverages vast data to help achieve product and commercialization goals. The ideal candidate thrives cross-functionally and navigates complex projects with Business Development, Operations, Product, Software, and Strategy teams. Job Responsibility

  • Develop data tools and insights to drive the development and operation of a commercially viable product, with a focus on our on-road performance and commercial/operational goals
  • Partner closely with those stakeholders to design and implement metrics and dashboards to help them measure, understand, and improve decision making, performance, and efficiency
  • Collaborate with a team of world-class Data Scientists and Analysts on problems spanning commercialization, operations, safety, hardware, and software
  • Collaborate with our Data Science & Analytics and Engineering communities to ensure the adoption of best practices and suggest improvements

Requirements

  • 3-6 years of experience as a Data Analyst, Data Scientist, or similar technical role
  • Proven experience taking Data Analytics projects end-to-end, from synthesizing business needs to building and maintaining data pipelines
  • Advanced proficiency with relational databases (SQL, PostgreSQL, etc.) and knowledge of Data Engineering best practices
  • Intermediate knowledge of data analytics infrastructure, including experience with data transformation tools like DBT and various visualization frameworks/tools
  • Competency in Python, demonstrated by the ability to write readable, maintainable, and easily interpretable code
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a highly cross-functional, fast-moving, and high-stakes environment
  • Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to translate and cascade executive input into actionable, data-driven technical analysis for both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Nice to have

  • Advanced degree (MS) in Statistics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Economics, or a related quantitative field
  • Experience using Amazon Web Services (AWS) tools
  • Experience using data-modeling business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Looker, etc.
  • Experience presenting your work to Executive teams & interfacing with varied stakeholders
  • Experience in the Autonomous Vehicle, Robotics, or Advanced Transportation domains
  • Exposure to Logistics, Fleet Operations, Network Planning, or Optimization problems
