Job Responsibility:
Lead the development and integration of cybersecurity solutions across automotive electronic systems, focusing on Euro 7 requirements for vehicle emissions control and on-board diagnostics (OBD) security
Define and implement secure architectures for engine control units (ECUs), telematics, and communication interfaces to protect against tampering and unauthorized access
Drive the application of cybersecurity engineering processes aligned with ISO/SAE 21434 and UN R155/R156
Collaborate closely with E/E architects, powertrain teams, and homologation experts to embed security-by-design principles throughout the vehicle lifecycle
Conduct threat analysis and risk assessment (TARA) for embedded automotive systems
Perform security validation and support certification efforts to ensure regulatory compliance
Develop and maintain secure boot, cryptographic modules, and secure communication protocols (e.g., SecOC, TLS, IPSec)
Support homologation teams and type approval processes in Europe
Requirements:
Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
Experience in automotive cybersecurity (minimum 8 years), preferably with OEM or Tier 1 exposure
In-depth knowledge of Euro 6/7 regulations, especially cybersecurity requirements for OBD, NOx sensors, and emissions control systems
Expertise in ISO/SAE 21434, UN R155 (Cybersecurity Management System), and R156 (Software Update Management System)
Experience in threat analysis and risk assessment (TARA) and security validation for embedded automotive systems
Solid understanding of ECU security, secure boot, cryptographic modules, and secure communication
Proficiency in using cybersecurity tools (CANalyzer, IDA Pro, Wireshark, penetration testing frameworks)
Familiarity with powertrain and aftertreatment control systems (DPF, SCR) and their software interfaces
English fluent
You demonstrate excellent communication skills and ability to lead cross-functional security reviews with technical and regulatory stakeholders
