Job Description:

This role enables Sales and Marketing teams with the right customer references in Japan and provides global reference support for key HPE products and solutions. The position helps customers share their innovations and successes, and provides customer proof to market messages.

Job Responsibility:

  • Analyze reference nominations and make recommendations on how to deliver the best value
  • Develop strategies for integrated customer reference engagement plans
  • Define and manage a streamlined process for building a pipeline of references
  • Manage reference request fulfilment and tracking reference activity and outcomes
  • Produce quarterly reporting and regular communications to stakeholders
  • Articulate the value of the program to stakeholder audiences
  • Develop and secure stakeholder agreement for reference plans and budgets
  • Drive asset creation, working with both agencies and in-house resources
  • Bring new ideas to the table to support successful customers
  • Leverage the entire team to increase advocate and reference engagement
  • Work cross-functionally with sales, product marketing, product management and other teams
  • Identify and streamline complex processes

Requirements:

  • BA or BS in Marketing or related field
  • 10+ years marketing experience, including customer marketing, customer references or customer advocacy
  • Agency, sales and/or channel experience a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Japanese
  • Excellent communication and negotiating skills
  • Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and functional disciplines
  • Knowledge of marketing principles, practices, tactics and tools
  • Project management skills
  • Understanding of the IT industry
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build, manage and influence virtual teams
