Job Description:

The Business Processes & Tooling Team is part of the newly formed Business Steering & Business Operations unit. We are the architects of the Opportunity-to-Cash (O2C) infrastructure for ZMS. We bridge the gap between Commercial Strategy and Technical Execution, ensuring that every system interaction is seamlessly integrated, commercially logical, and widely adopted. We are looking for a CRM Consultant to own the frontend user experience of our Salesforce CRM. You will not only train and support our users, but actively work to eradicate shadow IT (like offline pipeline spreadsheets) by designing intuitive, holistic workflows. You will act as the crucial translator between our Sales teams' needs and the Group Salesforce engineering teams who build the backend.

Job Responsibility:

  • Holistic Requirement Translation: collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to gather business requirements, assessing their end-to-end impact before translating them into clear user stories and solution designs
  • UI/UX & Shadow IT Eradication: drive innovation by introducing new, user-friendly Salesforce functionalities designed specifically to pull early-stage pipeline tracking out of offline spreadsheets and into the system
  • Process Governance & Configuration: translate business rules into effective Salesforce configurations and oversee data management practices to ensure data integrity and compliance at the entry point
  • Engineering Liaison: act as the primary liaison between the ZMS commercial units and the central Group Salesforce technical teams, write the precise execution tickets for the engineers and test the implementations
  • Adoption & Training: develop and conduct engaging training sessions for cross-functional end-users, create comprehensive, accessible documentation for all workflows
  • First-Level Support & Operational Insights: provide ongoing daily support, troubleshooting user inquiries, create and maintain operational dashboards and list views within Salesforce to give Sales Managers real-time visibility into their pipeline performance

Requirements:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Informatics, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in Salesforce administration, configuration, and user support, ideally in a fast-paced commercial or media environment
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Salesforce Administrator and/or Developer)
  • Proven track record of training cross-functional teams and strong communication skills
  • Strong data acumen and holistic thinking
  • Stay updated on Salesforce releases and industry best practices
What we offer:
  • 27 days of holiday a year to start for full-time employees (and +1/year until 30)
  • 2 paid volunteering days a year
  • Hybrid working model with up to 60% remote per week
  • Work from abroad for up to 30 working days a year
  • Employee shares program
  • 40% off fashion and beauty products sold and shipped by Zalando, 30% off Lounge by Zalando, discounts from external partners
  • Relocation assistance available (subject to prior agreement)
  • Family services, including counseling and support
  • Health and wellbeing options (including Wellhub, formerly Gympass)
  • Mental health support and coaching available
  • Drive your development through our training platform and biannual peer-to-peer review
