Job Description:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Credit Product Portfolio Specialist to support the Commercial Services portfolio team on customer credit-related inquiries within Supply Chain Finance. The team member in this role will use a credit mindset to navigate the difficulties of mitigating risk while satisfying client needs. This role requires a thorough understanding of factoring from a portfolio and customer credit perspective and the ability to communicate decisions efficiently and effectively.

Job Responsibility:

  • Deliver results that align with Commercial Banking and Commercial Banking line of business priorities and that satisfy Commercial Banking stakeholders and Wells Fargo’s risk management priorities and commitments
  • strategically collaborate with portfolio team and customer credit to resolve client issues and achieve business objectives
  • evaluate credit actions according to applicable regulations, procedures, and guidelines
  • review financial statements, communicate with clients or account debtors, and perform analysis to be used in credit decisions
  • utilize delegated credit approval authority to perform credit decisioning on individual credit orders
  • communicate and coordinate with portfolio, customer credit, collections, external counsel, clients, and account debtors to effectively manage customer credit risk while satisfying client needs
  • proactively monitor account debtor exposure trends (i.e. financials, risk ratings, trade reports, industry reports, and payment trends)
  • review legal documentation such as letters or credit, non-disclosure agreements, cash collateral agreements, and cross-corporate guarantees to ensure applicable terms, and requirements are incorporated and adhered to
  • provide guidance to junior associates on credit and industry trends, and product knowledge as applicable

Requirements:

4+ years of secured or specialized lending relationship management or portfolio management experience, or equivalent experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Nice to have:

  • 4+ years of relevant experience in factoring, or credit management and analysis earned in a banking setting or shared service environment
  • solid credit acumen with the ability to understand client financials and structure appropriate credit solutions
  • strong relationship management skills, with a proven ability to expand, grow, and retain client relationships
  • excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels
