This Senior Credit Manager role is responsible for overseeing strategic customer accounts, managing enterprise credit risk, and supporting business growth through sound financial analysis and risk management.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee credit exposure for strategic accounts and implement risk mitigation strategies to protect cash flow
Analyze financial statements and customer performance to assess credit risk and determine appropriate credit limits and terms
Develop and execute collection strategies based on customer payment behavior, economic trends, and risk indicators
Structure and negotiate credit arrangements, including payment terms, financial support solutions, and credit security instruments
Review accounts receivable aging, drive targeted collection efforts, and provide accurate cash flow forecasts to support liquidity planning
Evaluate and recommend actions related to write-offs, legal recovery, and risk resolution while balancing financial and commercial considerations
Lead credit governance initiatives across business units, ensuring consistent credit policies, escalation procedures, and reporting practices
Partner with Sales, Customer Service, and Finance to assess customer risk, accelerate cash conversion, and resolve operational issues
Manage relationships with external financing or leasing partners, including dispute resolution, portfolio monitoring, and credit exposure oversight
Deliver credit analytics and reporting to leadership, including risk assessments, portfolio trends, and recommendations for credit strategy and portfolio optimization
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field a plus
7+ years of experience in credit analysis, financial analysis, commercial lending, or related finance role
Prior experience managing a team
Strong proficiency in analyzing and interpreting financial statements
Experience preparing credit memoranda and financial summaries
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
familiarity with ERP systems and financial software preferred
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
