Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Credit Controller who is fluent in Italian to join a high-performing finance team. This role will take ownership of credit control activities across Italian-speaking regions, ensuring timely collection of receivables, maintaining strong client relationships, and supporting overall cash flow performance. This is a hybrid position, requiring 1 day per week on-site at Granta Park, with flexibility to work remotely for the remainder of the week.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage and reduce aged debt across Italian accounts
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, acting as a key point of contact
  • Conduct regular ledger reviews and implement effective collection strategies
  • Resolve invoice disputes efficiently in collaboration with internal teams (Sales, Customer Service, Billing)
  • Monitor credit limits and assess customer creditworthiness
  • Prepare and present regular reporting on debtor performance and risk exposure
  • Support month-end processes, including reconciliations and bad debt provisioning
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to process improvements

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a senior credit control or accounts receivable role
  • Fluent in Italian and English (written and spoken)
  • Strong understanding of credit risk management and collections processes
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • High attention to detail with strong analytical capability
  • Experience working in an international or multi-currency environment
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel

Nice to have:

  • Experience within biotech, pharmaceutical, or life sciences sectors
  • Familiarity with SAP or similar finance systems
  • Previous experience mentoring or supervising team members
