An established and growing organisation is looking for a Senior Credit Controller to take ownership of a complex B2B ledger within a fast-paced finance team. This is a key role offering autonomy, stakeholder exposure, and the opportunity to drive best practice across the credit function. You will be responsible for managing and improving the end-to-end credit control process, working closely with internal stakeholders to minimise risk, maximise cash flow, and maintain strong client relationships.
Job Responsibility:
Full ownership of a high-value B2B sales ledger
Proactive debt collection and cash allocation
Building and maintaining strong relationships with B2B customers
Reviewing and setting credit limits in line with risk policy
Resolving complex billing and payment queries efficiently
Producing aged debt reports and cash flow forecasts
Supporting month-end close and reporting requirements
Driving process improvements and best practice across credit control
Acting as a senior point of contact within the credit function
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years experience in a similar Credit Control role
Strong B2B credit control background (essential)
Confident managing complex, high-value ledgers
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Strong attention to detail with a proactive mindset
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Advanced Excel skills and experience with finance systems
Able to work independently while supporting junior team members
