Job Description

We are seeking a top-tier Retoucher with a proven track record in delivering exceptional, pixel-perfect retouching for print, large-format, and high-visibility commercial campaigns. This role is not hybrid — we are specifically looking for retouching specialists, not graphic designers who occasionally retouch. You will collaborate with creative teams and art directors to bring campaigns to life for global clients. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise, a refined eye for detail, and experience working to the highest production standards.

Job Responsibility

  • Take briefs from internal and external clients
  • Deliver a consistently high quality of retouching that is on-brand, within the agreed time frames
  • Creative and executional retouching and photography compositing assignments
  • Ensure accurate colour correction of imagery in line with client or creative requests
  • Interaction and use of AI tools such as Topaz and Magnific
  • Work closely with all stakeholders to ensure the best possible outcome, dependant on request
  • Be responsible for highlighting any retouching/colour issues
  • Ensure the imagery is correct to the digital guidelines (naming/colour space/dimensions/etc.)
  • Retouch assets for print, large format, and digital deliverables while ensuring precision and consistency.
  • Execute high-end image retouching for beauty, fashion, product, and commercial campaigns.
  • Deliver color accuracy, skin tone refinement, texture control, and composition balance across all outputs.
  • Creating files for both RGB and CMYK workflows
  • Work collaboratively with the creative team, the client and the wider Hogarth team
  • Escalate any issues to your Line Manager
  • Appreciation, adherence and enforcement of Hogarth key policies

Requirements

  • Experience working as a high-end image retouching and compositing in creative and print studios within the industry
  • Expert knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator and all image retouching practices including generative AI
  • Have a background in accurate colour correction using physical and digital swatches
  • Experience of creating and adapting imagery for different colour profiles
  • Understand basic photography and perspective
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to set priorities, multi-task and meet deadlines while maintaining high standards of work
  • A detail-oriented, collaborative, team-player
  • Be proactive in keeping skills up-to-date and drive self-improvement.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to provide clear feedback and communicate challenges accordingly.
  • Fluent spoken and written English is essential.
