Job Description:

The Commercial Real Estate (CRE) Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Manager leads the strategy, development, and delivery of advanced data analytics and business intelligence solutions that enhance decision-making across the CRE portfolio and related business lines. This role drives the evolution of the bank’s BI capabilities—translating complex data into actionable insights that inform portfolio management, market analysis, and strategic growth initiatives. The manager provides leadership and direction to a team of BI professionals, ensuring high-quality execution of analytics projects, data visualization, and reporting solutions. Success in this role requires a blend of deep domain knowledge of CRE banking, strategic thinking, strong technical expertise, and exceptional communication skills to partner effectively with executives, business line leaders, and technology teams.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable BI solutions that translate data into meaningful insights for business and executive decision-making
  • Partner cross-functionally with data science, governance, IT delivery, cloud architecture, and vendor teams to execute a unified BI and analytics strategy
  • Champion innovation in BI platforms, data visualization, and self-service analytics to improve the organization’s data-driven culture
  • Develop and maintain robust reporting frameworks and ad hoc analyses to support CRE portfolio management and business line initiatives
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of analytics outputs across data sources and business functions
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to senior management, providing data-driven insights that guide portfolio strategies, market positioning, and operational improvements
  • Translate complex data findings into clear narratives and recommendations tailored to executive audiences
  • Provide coaching, direction, and mentorship to BI team members to build technical and professional capabilities
  • Lead performance management, staffing, development planning, and succession management in alignment with organizational goals
  • Foster a high-performance culture emphasizing innovation, accountability, and collaboration
  • Responsible for talent management functions including: employment, performance evaluations, staff development/training, disciplinary actions, succession planning and ensuring all staff comply with compliance requirements
  • Performs special projects, and additional duties and responsibilities as required
  • Consistently adheres to regulatory and compliance policies and standards linked to the job as listed and complete required compliance trainings. Accountable to maintain compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate Degree (4 years or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering or a related discipline
  • 8+ Years of progressive experience in data analytics, data engineering or BI including 3+ years leading teams or projects
  • Proven expertise and domain knowledge on CRE banking
  • Strong proficiency in data architecture, data modeling, and SQL programming
  • Proven expertise with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or QlikView
  • Experience with cloud-based data environments (Snowflake, AWS), preferred
  • Familiarity with modern data integration and ETL platforms, preferred
  • Knowledge of Models Risk Management concepts and best practices, preferred
  • Strategic and analytical leadership
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proficiency in BI and data visualization tools
  • Advanced data analysis and problem-solving capabilities
  • Project and portfolio management across complex, multi-team environments
  • Demonstrates a strong ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders by communicating clearly, engaging in proactive collaboration, and leveraging cross functional insights. Aligns relationship building efforts with enterprise goals to accelerate performance and drive strategic results
  • Builds trusted client relationships, whether internal or external, by identifying needs and delivering tailored solutions to enhance the overall client experience
  • Fosters or supports a positive work culture and productive work environment, displaying importance of effective relationships with customers and stakeholders
