Job Description

A leading global construction consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior Cost Manager to join their North London team. The Senior Cost Manager will play a key role in delivering professional cost management services across a portfolio of complex commercial, data centre, infrastructure and mixed-use developments.

Job Responsibility

  • Preparing and reviewing detailed cost plans and project budgets
  • Managing tender documentation and procurement strategies
  • Leading subcontractor procurement and commercial negotiations
  • Monitoring valuations, variations and change management
  • Supporting risk management and value engineering initiatives
  • Overseeing interim valuations and contributing to final accounts
  • Producing financial reports and advising clients on project costs

Requirements

  • A degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline
  • Experience working as a Senior Cost Manager, Cost Manager or Quantity Surveyor within construction or consultancy
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts (JCT preferred)
  • Experience supporting projects through the full project lifecycle
  • Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills

MRICS desirable or working towards chartership
