The Senior Cost Estimator will be working alongside the MEP experts of the company to bridge the gap between bidding and systematic cost management. In this pivotal role, as a Senior Cost Estimator, you will leverage your infrastructure expertise to transform raw data into a sophisticated, company-wide tracking system.
Job Responsibility:
Design and implement internal pricing procedures and structured costing frameworks
Develop and maintain a central price-tracking system to ensure data consistency across all bids
Streamline the cost-flow process by leveraging and expanding our existing partner and vendor database
Work in direct synergy with the Tendering Department to ensure technical and financial accuracy
Personally build the databases and structures required for the department's long-term success
Execute detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates specifically for Infrastructure and Civil Engineering projects
Analyze blueprints and technical documents to prepare comprehensive budget estimates
Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes, ensuring they align with technical specifications
Establish should-cost models to provide the company with a competitive edge during tenders
Monitor market trends and material price fluctuations to maintain an up-to-date cost library
Requirements:
3-5 years of experience in a similar role
Hands-on construction experience on-site, as well as expertise in cost estimation for both building projects and infrastructure works (such as networks, road construction, etc.)
University Degree in Civil Engineering
Proven track record in cost estimation for large-scale Infrastructure/Technical projects
Expert-level command of costing software and a hands-on approach to data management
Ability to create structures and processes from scratch
Professional maturity and the ability to organize a department are essential
