Job Description

To introduce the department workflow and regular reports to new hires and cost control engineer, and to supervise their work to align with the department.

Job Responsibility

  • Supervise and mentor cost control engineers in the project
  • Prepare Closing report for the project indicating the root causes for variances and lessons learned
  • Review/Prepare quarterly cost control reports with the most available data
  • Issue budget rev.00 for new awarder projects
  • Review subcontractor balance quantities and send reports to the technical offices
  • Revising and reviewing on Subcontractors’ progress and invoicing to make sure it doesn’t colloid and in accordance with the client invoicing process

  • Build and maintain robust parametric and analytical cost models that support accurate forecasting
  • Set and update integrated cost baselines that align scope, schedule and resources across stakeholders
  • Own engineering estimating standards, templates and data models, acting as the intelligent customer for cost data across SAP and Primavera P6
  • Maintain strong data lineage and version control to ensure accuracy and traceability
  • Work with PMO to manage change, keeping cost and schedule baselines aligned
  • Quantify risk and opportunity impacts and support recovery or optimisation plans
  • Support contract management, including change order reviews, invoice validation and benchmarking
  • Provide independent cost challenge to protect commercial value
  • Define and maintain cost control processes, tools and templates
