Senior Cost Accountant

• Conduct in-depth analysis of operational costs related to inventory and cost of sales
• Evaluate manufacturing costs by comparing actual expenses to projections, reporting variances to management
• Determine costs associated with raw materials, labor, and inventory activities
• Perform financial analyses to identify trends and propose strategies for cost reduction and revenue enhancement
• Develop and document accounting policies and business processes to uphold strong internal controls
• Assist in preparing manufacturing budgets, including labor and overhead rates
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate reporting and compliance with financial regulations
• Prepare detailed reports and present findings to support management decision-making
• Review cost drivers and provide recommendations for improving budget processes
• Handle additional duties as assigned to support the financial team

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in cost accounting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics Business Central and Prophix is advantageous
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, including direct and indirect costs
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a dynamic environment

CPA certification is preferred but not mandatory
