This is an exciting opportunity to join an NZX-listed business with operations throughout New Zealand. As a prominent and long-standing brand, they are known for their diverse operations across multiple sectors. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will support strategic decision-making through detailed and robust financial and commercial analysis. You will play a broad internal advisory role, assisting senior leadership with financial due diligence, commercial insights, and comprehensive decision support as needed. This position will have a measurable impact on the organisation.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide financial modelling and commercial analysis to support significant projects, capital investment decisions (includes M&A), and strategic initiatives
  • Portfolio management, including performance monitoring, forecasting, and commercial assessment
  • Work closely with the CFO to support the design, direction, and delivery of strategic initiatives
  • Delivering clear and insightful strategic analysis across areas such as market trends, competitor benchmarking, and investment options
  • Supporting cross-functional strategy and transformation projects as directed by the CFO or CEO
  • Developing dashboards and KPI frameworks to track the performance of strategic initiatives
  • Preparing and reviewing key deliverables, including reports and presentations for stakeholders
  • Supporting other strategic projects across the business

Requirements:

  • Experience in Big 4 or mid-tier corporate finance, investment banking, or corporate roles
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with a diverse stakeholder base
  • Comfortable working extensively in Excel, developing complex financial models
  • CFA designation would be viewed as advantageous
