Job Description

As Senior Corporate Counsel, you will serve as a trusted advisor to product, engineering, and security teams, embedding legal and compliance frameworks into our product lifecycle. You will deliver practical, business-oriented guidance that supports innovation while ensuring compliance with healthcare, privacy, and other regulatory requirements. Job Responsibility

  • Serve as product counsel, partnering across the engineering, product, and security teams to support product design, development, and deployment
  • Provide actionable legal guidance on regulatory, privacy, and compliance matters, including HIPAA, CCPA/CPRA, and the evolving AI/ML landscape
  • Advise on healthcare regulatory compliance, including FDA, FTC, fraud and abuse (FCA, AKS), and related state laws
  • Partner with other cross-functional teams including policy, partner experience, marketing, IT, finance, corporate development, and commercial to ensure alignment and mitigate risk
  • Support privacy impact assessments, compliance risk assessments, and data governance efforts and frameworks
  • Coordinate with external counsel to resolve specialist issues and ensure fast delivery of actionable legal guidance and risk analysis
  • Monitor emerging regulations around AI, data use, and healthcare technology and advise internal stakeholders on their implications

Requirements

  • 8+ years of legal experience
  • 4+ years in product counseling
  • Prior in-house, government, or law firm experience focused on healthcare is a requirement
  • Strong understanding of and experience with federal and state healthcare laws, including HIPAA and data privacy regulations
  • Experience with FDA, FTC, FCA and fraud, waste, and abuse laws
  • Proven ability to communicate and translate complex regulatory and legal concepts into clear, practical guidance for non-legal counterparts and colleagues
  • Comfort and confidence with juggling a high volume of projects, tight timelines, and competing priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and exercise business judgement
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally, particularly with technical teams, designers, and commercial teams
  • Creativity in solving and navigating novel legal matters
  • experience in crafting new processes and language to meet the needs of a rapidly-moving enterprise in a novel industry

Nice to have

  • Expertise in intellectual property, AI, interoperability, or technology law
  • Familiarity with recent trends in artificial intelligence, particularly with large language models and responsible AI principles
  • Prior in-house experience (bonus points if at a growth-stage or healthcare technology company)
