Job Description

AMD is seeking a Senior Corporate Counsel – Ethics & Compliance to help scale our global Ethics & Compliance program. This role will conduct internal investigations across Asia Pacific and India, while also driving continued programmatic development in the conflicts of interest, anti-corruption, competition, and third-party risk management programs. Reporting to the Director – Ethics & Compliance Legal, this role contributes to program effectiveness, risk mitigation, and alignment with global standards, while interfacing with regional and global stakeholders.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead and manage complex compliance investigations, ensuring objective, thorough, and timely resolution of matters across jurisdictions
  • Manage the regional docket of compliance cases, including prioritization, tracking, and oversight
  • Triage incoming reports (e.g., helpline, internal referrals) and determine appropriate course of action
  • Prepare clear, well-reasoned investigation reports, including findings and recommended remediation actions
  • Partner with HR, Legal, and Internal Audit to develop and implement remediation and disciplinary actions
  • Identify root causes and systemic issues and drive improvements to prevent recurrence
  • Support engagement and oversight of external counsel or advisors, where applicable
  • Provide legal advice and guidance on ethics and compliance matters, including conflicts of interest, anti-corruption, competition, and third-party risk management
  • Review and advise on complex conflicts of interest and high-risk third-party situations
  • Support implementation and operation of global compliance programs, applying a risk-based approach
  • Leverage AI, automation, and data analytics to drive actionable insights for continuous program improvement
  • Support scaling of global compliance programs in Asia, ensuring alignment with local regulatory requirements and business practices
  • Assist in preparation and delivery of regional and global leadership reporting, including summaries of investigations, trends, and program effectiveness
  • Support regional compliance awareness, communications, and training initiatives
  • Identify and drive program improvements, including enhancements to processes, controls, and tools
  • Contribute to policy development and updates, aligned with evolving legal and regulatory expectations
  • Collaborate with global compliance teams to ensure alignment and consistency across regions

  • Bachelor's degree and Law degree (JD/LLB or equivalent)
  • Qualified to practice law (or in-house equivalent) in relevant jurisdiction(s)
