Job Description:

Senior Corporate Communications Lead for Hungary and Central Europe responsible for supporting the development and execution of proactive external and internal communications for Citi in Central Europe and Hungary. The role involves working with teams to enhance and protect Citi's reputation through communication with various stakeholders.

Job Responsibility:

  • Developing, leading and executing on Hungary and Central Europe external communications strategy and plans
  • Managing proactive engagement with key media outlets
  • Developing messaging, briefing documents and speaking notes for senior executives
  • Developing and amplifying brand activities and events
  • Building strong pipeline of media and social media activity
  • Organizing and managing speaking opportunities
  • Building relationships with trade associations
  • Developing and executing internal engagement plans and initiatives
  • Planning and managing internal communications channels and content
  • Planning and managing employee engagement events
  • Managing a small team of communicators across Central Europe
  • Development and execution of plans to support volunteering activities
  • Reputation risk assessment, crisis and issues management

Requirements:

  • Professional experience in Communications and Public Relations, either in-house or agency
  • Comprehensive understanding and proven track record in media relations and stakeholder engagement
  • Team player with strong leadership qualities
  • Excellent planning and project skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adjust priorities
  • Excellent communications skills - editing, writing and digital communications skills
  • Experience in content creation for internal and external purposes
  • Social media content development experience
  • Working knowledge of major social media platforms
  • Creativity and ability to show initiative
  • Strong relationship management skills
  • Ability to lead and influence at a senior level
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business management, communications, marketing or related field
  • People management experience is an advantage
  • Fluency in English and Hungarian
  • 8+ years of relevant experience
