Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Senior Corporate Accountant to support our client's EPM project with accounting activities. This role involves a mix of responsibilities including stock-based compensation accounting, bonus accruals, financial statement preparation, and balance sheet analysis. Shift is hybrid (3 days in the office in Calgary: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday).

Job Responsibility:

Manage LTIP (Long-Term Incentive Plan) and stock-based compensation accounting on a monthly and quarterly basis, including financial disclosures
Handle STIP (Short-Term Incentive Plan) – bonus accounting, monthly accrual, and FP&A forecast alignment
Participate in the financial close process, including running financial statements, trial balances, and reconciling post-close entries
Prepare quarterly consolidated balance sheet analytics and commentary summarization
Assist with the review of junior team members' month-end entries and reconciliations as needed.

Requirements:

Accounting designation (CPA) with 2-4 years of post-designation experience outside of a public accounting firm
Experience in public accounting and obtained CPA while working at the firm
Strong understanding of consolidation accounting
Proficient in Excel
able to run models (no macros or convoluted formulas needed)
Effective communication and teamwork skills
Must be located in Calgary and able to work in the office 3 days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)
