As the Senior Corporate Accountant, you will play a key leadership role within our Hospitality Finance team, overseeing corporate accounting activities across Australia, New Zealand, and Fiji. You will be responsible for maintaining strong financial governance, leading a geographically dispersed accounting team, and partnering closely with senior finance and operational leaders to support business performance. This role offers a blend of hands-on technical accounting, people leadership, and strategic collaboration.
Job Responsibility:
Lead and develop a high-performing corporate accounting team across Bundall and Clark locations
Oversee monthly and annual financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with group policies and accounting standards
Manage the external audit process and maintain strong relationships with auditors and professional advisors
Ensure all taxation obligations are met across Australia, New Zealand, and Fiji, including GST, BAS, FBT, income tax, withholding tax, and transfer pricing requirements
Review balance sheet reconciliations monthly and ensure timely resolution of outstanding items
Coordinate the preparation and lodgement of annual and half-year statutory financial reports
Maintain robust financial controls and identify opportunities to strengthen control environments
Oversee intercompany accounting processes and ensure appropriate controls are in place
Lead the annual budgeting process for club and resort operations
Partner with operational leaders to provide financial insight and support informed decision-making
Foster a strong team culture aligned with company values, ensuring staff capability, engagement, and ongoing development
Requirements:
Tertiary qualifications in Accounting with CA or CPA certification
Demonstrated experience leading and developing accounting teams
Strong technical accounting and financial reporting expertise (IFRS experience essential)
Solid taxation knowledge across multiple jurisdictions
Experience working in complex, multi-entity and multi-currency environments
Strong attention to detail with the ability to meet regular reporting deadlines
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Nice to have:
Hospitality or resort industry experience highly regarded
