Job Description:

Randstad Senior Finance are excited to partner with a leading Australian-owned consumer goods business located in Melbourne inner suburbs. Currently seeking a technically astute Corporate Accountant for an initial three-month interim period. This role has been designed to support the group finance function during a high-activity phase, with a strong likelihood of extension for a candidate who demonstrates exceptional technical capability and cultural fit. The Opportunity: Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the group's financial reporting framework. This is a 'hands-on' corporate role that requires a deep understanding of complex group structures and a commitment to meeting strict statutory deadlines.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead the end-to-end monthly consolidation process for multiple entities across the Australian and international portfolio
  • Take ownership of the preparation of statutory financial statements in strict accordance with AASB/IFRS and Australian corporate legislation
  • Act as a primary point of contact for external auditors
  • Provide expert advice on complex accounting matters
  • Assist with the preparation and lodgement of monthly and quarterly tax compliance requirements
  • Identify and implement enhancements to the consolidation process

Requirements:

  • CA or CPA qualified
  • Proven experience in group consolidations within a complex corporate environment
  • Demonstrated success in preparing full-suite statutory financial statements
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with large-scale ERP systems
  • A proactive, self-directed mindset with a meticulous eye for detail
  • Ability to work independently under tight deadlines

Nice to have:

  • Previous experience within the FMCG, or consumer goods sectors
  • Experience with NetSuite
